Stromness Drama Club's production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern was announced the winner at the close of the drama festival last night.

Birsay Drama Group were second followed by Stromness Drama Club's second entry Lone Star.

The first three teams now go to the Divisional Finals in Orkney Arts Theatre at the end of the month. However, because two teams cannot go forward from one club, Kirkwall Arts Club who were fourth get a place.

The winning youth team - Stromness - are eligible for Northern Division youth festival which is being held in Aberdeen on 15th March.
