End in sight for Harray baby saga A tragic chapter in the short lives of three newborn babies could draw to a close soon. What course of action is taken regarding the discovery of bones under a house in Harray last year is now in the hands of procurator fiscal, Ms Sue Foard, who has received the Crown Office report. Speaking this morning she said: I have got the report back from the Crown Office and hope to get to read it today or tomorrow. It will come to a conclusion fairly soon. The immediate family of Tomima Gray say she drowned her illegitimate grandchildren immediately after birth in the early 1900s and buried then under the property of St Olaf Cottage in Harray. The family want to rebury the children beside their mother in the Finstown cemetery. |
