2015 Orkney Masters to bull off

Nine local darts players are preparing to go toe-to-toe with seven professionals as the 2015 Orkney Masters bull off today in what is sure to be a fantastic spectacle of tungsten tussling at the Pickaquoy Centre. A mixture of Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO) players are making the trip to Orkney to battle it out with the nine local players, who qualified for the showpiece.

Current BDO World Champion, Scott Mitchell heads the impressive lineup, with Premier League player, Kim Huybrechts and Ireland’s Brendan Dolan also in attendance. The Scottish world-ranked number eight, Robert Thornton will be stepping up to the oche as well as recent German Open runner-up, John Henderson and 2014 BDO runner-up, Alan Norris. Completing the line up is World Youth Champion, Keegan Brown.

Facing them are the cream of Orkney’s darting crop, Robbie Stanger, Stuart Thomson, Brian Moar, Stevie Linklater, Iain Wilkie, Simon Parry, Leigh Shearer, Derek Firth and Gary Wilson.
