Birsay road works planned for this week

Orkney Islands Council will be carrying out surface dressing and road marking operations this week in Birsay.

The work is planned for Cumlaquoy Road, Loons Road, Bryameadow, Newan Link Road, Whitemire and Moss Road.

A convoy system for vehicles will be in operation while the work, which is weather dependent, is carried out.

The council said they appreciate the co-operation of drivers and will try and keep delays to a minimum.
