Stromness Shopping Week parade route changes
The route to be taken by the Stromness Shopping Week Fancy Dress Parade, which will commence tomorrow evening, has changed.
The organisers have said that, due to the  condition of the Market Green, the Parade will not be able to conclude there tomorrow night. Alternative arrangements have been made as follows –
The parade will commence from Hoymansquoy making its way through the streets. Upon arrival at The Pier Head the Walkers will leave the parade and be awarded their prizes once the floats have passed.
The floats will then proceed their usual route out to the North End but will carry on to Garson Industrial Estate where the Parade will conclude outside C.S Omand Garage, where the winners will be awarded their prizes.
Shortly after this The Grand Prize Draw will take place at the Pier Head where the results of the Float Competition will be announced again.
