Tomorrow, Orkney RFC’s rugby sevens tournament will see 18 teams take part in the club’s end of season rugby festival at Pickaquoy.

Orkney will be hoping to make it four wins on the trot, however strong challenges are expected from Premiership teams Heriots and Currie, and Peebles and Stewart’s Melville who both play in National League Division One.

As well as Orkney, the other home teams include The Auld Bulls, Wolfhounds, two young farmers’ teams from the East and West Mainlands, East, Predators, Teachers, Ale Stars, PJ’s Team, and CAB.

Making up the draw, the away teams this year are Grangemouth, Caithness, Stewart’s Melville, Heriots, Currie, Exiles and Peebles.

Although the rugby is the main focus of the day, with the minis’ tournament kicking-off at 10.30am, there will also be plenty on offer for others in and around the clubhouse, including live music from Genuine Draft from 4.30pm.

The first tie kicks-off at 12.30pm.
