A proposal which could lead to the installation of electronic signs to provide information to highlight the risk of waves coming over the Churchill Barriers, and to give information on causeway closures, is set to be discussed by councillors today.

The item is on the agenda at the meeting of the OIC development and infrastructure committee, which is due to take place in the council chamber in School Place.

In a report, councillors have heard that the overall gross capital cost of the project is estimated at £239,000, including a contingency of £60,000 for electrical connections. Ongoing costs are estimated at a further £8000 a year.
