Vodafone hope to resolve signal problems tomorrow

Vodafone are hoping to have a fault, which has been affecting mobile phone coverage around Kirkwall, repaired tomorrow.

A spokeswoman apologised for the fault, saying: “We’re sorry about the continuing issues in Kirkwall. We need to replace some faulty hardware and we have arranged to access the site to carry out works tomorrow.

“Unfortunately, we were unable to gain access earlier due to other pre-arranged maintenance work by third parties taking place on site.”
