Orkney Seabird Heritage’s founder Uwe Stoneman is bringing a flock of model birds to Papay this weekend.

An art installation focusing on sea birds will be unveiled in Papa Westray this weekend.

As part of the Orkney Seabird Heritage Project 500 model sea birds and interpretations of sea birds, which have been made by people all over the world, are to be put on display at the old coastguard hut, North Hill, in Papay.

The founder of the project, Uwe Stoneman, said that the purpose of the installation is to raise awareness of the decline of local seabird populations and show people how important they are to Orkney.

The display will be set up at the old coastguard hut between 2pm and 5pm on Saturday.
