Police release name of accident victim

Police have named the 52-year-old motorcyclist who died in Wednesday’s road accident at the second barrier.

He was Alexander (Sandy) Watson, from Quoyloo.

A police spokesman said that a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal, adding that witnesses to the collision, who have not yet spoken to police, should contact Kirkwall Police Station on 101.
